EOC: Week 10: What Channels are you going to do to get your product noticed?

I am going to be using the channels, social, media, conversation, encourages, and traditional ways. I feel like this are going to be the ways for my product because I want to show it to every man that I can get to show it to any in every possible way, and I feel like the best channel for my product will be the traditional way because it will be the best way for my costumers to get to know my product, but I also need the other channels for marketing and getting the word out on this product, the other channel that is very important will be the social and media because this is how man that don’t go to stores that often can see the product and get interest and they will get themselves to the stores to buy what they want and need.

EOC Week 9: Three Great Mission Statements

the three mission statements that i found were interesting are from Kayleigh Bloomfield http://kaybloomphoto.blogspot.com/, Holly Burke ttp://hollysblog-0-rama.blogspot.com/, and from Eric Arquileta http://red2media.blogspot.com/. I believe they have really good point of view and i like there statements it's understandable to everyone who reads it. and this is one of the things they said Holly said The new sales will propel our company into place prominence in the coming decade and our market share will increase 46% by the next financial year. Our brand is projected to acquire a new cache ,and with it even better opportunities to reach out to other brands who want to partner with Proctor and Gamble. Kayleigh said We plan to not loose sight of the above statement and keeping with the brands classic style all the while providing competitive pricing and exceptional product for our mostly college student target market. The main purpose of this brand and this product is to supply comfort and support. Now a days you are to buys with life how chaotic life can get, be it school, work or both, to have to pay to much attention to your underwear. And Eric said Wegner Computer Bags are crafted for everyday life and are designed to be innovative, versatile, sports-minded and can be used for home, travel, and outdoor activities. Just like the famous Swiss Army Knives that have made them known world-wide for their quality, their computer backpacks are designed to be multi-purpose and can withstand not only the stress of travelling but also anything else that you go through on a day to day basis. With the work and craftsmanship that goes into every Wenger product, you’ll know that when you use a Wenger computer backpack, you’ll be using a quality product.

Final Project: Implementation Evaluation Control

The analysis, planning, implementation, and control of sales force activities. It includes designing sales force strategy and structure and recruiting, selecting, training, supervising, compensating, and evaluating the firm’s salespeople.pg. 416. for the evaluation  of control we have to look into al the product and have extra control. Marketers must continually plan their analysis, implementation, and control activities. pg. 58, Because many surprises occur during the implementation of marketing plans, marketers must practice constant marketing control—evaluating the results of marketing strategies and plans and taking corrective action to ensure that objectives are attained. Marketing control involves four steps. Management first sets specific marketing goals. It then measures its performance in the marketplace and evaluates the causes of any differences between expected and actual performance. Finally, management takes corrective action to close the gaps between its goals and its performance. This may require changing the action programs or even changing the goals.

Final Project: Price

the price for my product will be going for  $5.99 its a reasonable price for the consumer We’ve now seen that pricing decisions are subject to a complex array of customer, company, competitive, and environmental forces. To make things even more complex, a company sets not a single price but rather a pricing structure that covers different items in its line. This pricing structure changes over time as products move through their life cycles. The company adjusts its prices to reflect changes in costs and demand and to account for variations in buyers and situations. As the competitive environment changes, the company considers when to initiate price changes and when to respond to them. pg.285
  • An earlier example states that, although the average Steinway piano costs $75,000, to those who own one, a Steinway is a great value. Does this fit with your idea of value? pg.285

Final Project: Distribution

The distribution will be All the individuals and units that play a role in the purchase decision-making process. pg. 162, we will focus on distributing to store that we will know that man can get a close asses to and also online just incase there are man that don't like to go out to purchase the product, When Nikon entered the digital camera market, it decided that it needed an entirely new distribution strategy as well. So it asked transportation and logistics giant UPS to design a complete system for moving its entire electronics product line from its Asian factories to retail stores throughout the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Now, products leave Nikon’s Asian manufacturing centers and arrive on American retailers’ shelves in as few as two days, with UPS handling everything in between. UPS first manages air and ocean freight and related customs brokerage to bring Nikon products from Korea, Japan, and Indonesia to its Louisville, Kentucky, operations center. There, UPS can either “ kit” the Nikon merchandise with accessories such as batteries and chargers or repackage it for in-store display. Finally, UPS distributes the products to thousands of retailers across the United States or exports them to Latin American or Caribbean retail outlets and distributors. Along the way, UPS tracks the goods and provides Nikon with a “snapshot” of the entire supply chain, letting Nikon keep retailers informed of delivery times and adjust them as needed. pg. 162

Final Project: Promotion

To choose the right promotion we have focus on the type of man that we are selling this product to because  there will be certain type that will not care about taking care of there face but there will be some that will get obsessed with taking care of themselves and thats the type that we need and want to please Pledge Multi Surface is positioned on multiple benefits. The challenge is to convince customers that one brand can do it all. pg. 197, For example, S.C. Johnson recently introduced a new Pledge multi-surface cleaner. Known mainly as a brand for cleaning and dusting wood furniture, the new Pledge is positioned as a cleaner that works on wood, electronics, glass, marble, stainless steel, and other surfaces. Says its Web site, “No need to keep switching products—this multi-surface cleaner is perfect for a quick and easy cleanup of the whole room!” Clearly, many buyers want these multiple benefits. The challenge was to convince them that one brand can do it all. However, as companies increase the number of claims for their brands, they risk disbelief and a loss of clear positioning.

Final Project:Product

The set of all product lines and items that a particular seller offers for sale.pg.220 the product needs to have the best quality to please the customer, Each major Sony business consists of several product lines. For example, Sony Electronics product includes cameras and camcorders, computers, TV and home entertainment s, mobile electronics, and others. In turn, each of these lines contains many individual items. Sony’s TV and home entertainment line includes TVs, DVD players, home audio components, digital home products, and more. Altogether, Sony’s product mix includes a diverse collection of hundreds and hundreds of products pg,220

Final Project: Target Market Strategy

My market strategy is just to market the product thru everything to be able to sell this product to everyone especially man even if the is some type of controversy, Cigarette, beer, and fast-food markets have also generated controversy in recent years by their attempts to target inner-city minority consumers. For example, McDonald’s and other chains have drawn criticism for pitching their highfat, salt-laden fare to low-income, urban residents who are much more likely than suburbanites to be heavy consumers. Similarly, R.J. Reynolds took heavy flak in the early 1990s when it announced plans to market Uptown, a menthol cigarette target toward low-income blacks. It quickly dropped the brand in the face of a loud public outcry and heavy pressure from African-American leaders. pg. 193At the same time that it’s answering the first simple-sounding question (Which customers will we serve?), the company must be asking the second question (How will we serve them?). For example, Ritz-Carlton serves the top 5 percent of corporate and leisure travelers. Its value proposition is “The Ritz-Carlton Experience”—one that “enlivens the senses, instills a sense of well-being, and fulfills even the unexpressed wishes and needs of our guests.”

Final Project: Situation or SWOT Analysis

With the SWOT analysis theres a lot to think about because everything has to come together to the product work. The strengths for my product have to do with lots of promotions for the man to buy it, the weakness is that not a lot of man  about themselves and don't like to buy products for themselves, the opportunities are that if we start to make man really think about how they look our product will be a big hit, the threats are that there are a lot more other companies that are starting to focus on mans products but as long as our customers are pleased with our  we will do great.Marketers must continually plan their analysis, implementation, and control activities. pg. 57

Final Project: Objectives

The object is to sell this product and to maintain it on top of our competitors by keeping our customers happy and satisfied just like it said in Kohler’s overall objective is to build profitable customer relationships by developing efficient yet beautiful products that embrace the “essence of gracious living.” pg, 34. Some large companies have their own research departments that work with marketing managers on marketing research projects. This is how Procter & Gamble, GE, and many other corporate giants handle marketing research. In addition, these companies—like their smaller counterparts—frequently hire outside research specialists to consult with management on specific marketing problems and conduct marketing research studies. Sometimes firms simply purchase data collected by outside firms to aid in their decision making. pg. 107.The company’s objective should be defined in specific terms so management can measure progress and plan corrective action if needed to stay on track. This section describes any major issues that might affect the company’s marketing strategy and implementation. pg.mp7

EOC Week 9: Final Projet: Bussiness Mission Statement

My Business Mission Statement is to sell this product to men they are the ones that matter the most in this promotion, most of the marketing will be intended for them “to make people happy around the world by selling the highest quality, most creative experience with passion, excellence, and innovation.” Cold Stone Creamery’ page 5
And all so in some way for women to encourage their man to go out and buy this product so they can look good for them, all to make them think that they don’t need to feel weird buying a product that mainly woman buy for them self, it’s time they stand up and look good for themselves

EOC week 8: Disasterous new products

Some great ideas that would really work would be

Final project pitch

For the final project I have to market a product for man, which is not very common for them to shop around for anything except beer but I can’t market that so I am going to try to market Men’s face wash, because even though you think of face wash for women only I believe that man need to take care of them self’s also and if they want to look good for the opposite sex which they always want to that then they would like to take care of them self's much better, and it all starts with the face, because woman always like a good looking man but when they see one that is actually taking care of them self they will think that you are the best just because if you can take take of your self then you can take care of them.

EOC week 6: 9 apps

The top best apps for me have to be Angry Birds http://www.digitaltrends.com/guides/best-ipad-apps/3/, I feel like it lots of fun and its actually entertaining, I lose track of time if I play this app

Netflix By Netflix, Inc. is great because with technology now is so important  Stack the States is a great app for kids to learn the states        http://itunes.apple.com/app/netflix/id363590051?mt=8 SimStapler http://www.appletell.com/apple/comment/worst-iphone-apps/,  Guitar Toolkit, Hold Button http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/11/best-of-the-worst-the-app-stores-hits-and-misses/, one of the apps. I would do, would be a way where your phone would shut down if you’re playing app while driving. Another one would be to let the parents know what their underage kids are doing with their phone but without the kids feeling violated

EOC Week 5: Best and worst super bowl commercials

I feel like this year there was not a lot of good commercials but one of the best commercial for the super bowl i think is the Volkswagen commercial the one with the actual beetle, I really like it because I feel like they t put a lot of elements in the commercial like earth, speed and the agility that you can get with this vehicle <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_gAb67VDabI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>. the one i feel like it was the worse and there were a lot but the very worse to me is one of the budweiser commercials i just feel like they when in a hole different direction then there other commercials, they usually make some good one except this one <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9cp91cCFaQQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

week 4 EOC-B2B vs Consumer marketing

GE has a huge potential for selling all kinds of products to everyone that need anything for their home or them self, but while they do care for regular consumers that is not there main objective that’s is why there logo sais We’re determined to solve the world’s biggest problems. By putting our collective imagination to work for a better future, we might get there yet; it is possible to change the world? At GE, we are doing it one idea at a time IMAGINATION = INNOVATION http://www.ge.com/innovation/archive.html. And there priority is to serve the bigger companies because they know that they make most of their money that way and of course they don’t need to be that worried about those companies instead of the general consumers. That is why they say this One GE Evolution series locomotive can pull the equivalent of 170 Boeing 747 “Jumbo Jet” airliners. It’s not difficult to identify potential buyers for a 207 ton, 4,400 horsepower GE locomotive with an average estimated cost of $2.2 million per unit. The real challenge is to win buyers’ business by building day-in, day-out, year-in, year-out partnerships with them based on superior products and close collaboration. The regular consumer would never spend a third of what this companies are spending and us as consumers never actually realize that we are only a small part to this company because even though we are not that big for the company they still care and do what they have to do to keep the consumers happy no matter what, that is why they have lasted this long as a company and if they keep doing what they’re doing now they won’t go out of business anytime soon.

week 3 EOC-Making Money for Good

The majority of companies now a day’s try to support some kind of charity in one way or another and even thought there are some that just try to do it for more profit for them self’s, there are the one the ones that that know they have a set company but they actually want to give back to the community in some way, the cause that I feel that gets the most charity and a lot of promotion is for the breast cancer awareness, there are several companies that try to help them at some time, for example some of  the companies are New Balance, Yoplait and many other companies as well as associations like the “I Love Boobies” campaign they all give some kind of profit to the foundation. The purpose of Keep A Breast’s “I Love Boobies!” Campaign is to speak to young people in their own voice about a subject that is often scary and taboo. Our t-shirts and bracelets act as an awareness-raising tool that speaks directly to our target audience in a way that is authentic, inspiring and refreshing. When breast cancer hits a family, all involved are impacted. Pink ribbons might not resonate with some youth as passionately as a foundation that works with artists, athletes, celebrities, and musicians that young people look up to. http://www.keep-a-breast.org/programs/i-love-boobies/. They all agree that its best to give to the community to help and that way they also put them self in a position where people start recognizing them and associate then to a good charity.

week 3 EOC My demographics

The millennial or generation y is the 83 million children born between 1977 and 2000. I am a millennial because I was born on 1981, but I am not sure that I agree entirely with what they say that we are utter fluent with technology just because is the era we are born in because for me is very difficult to try to deal with all this technology and I know there is a lot of people like me, I only stared using all this technology not so long ago and that is because I stared school. I do agree that with all the technology that their putting on telephones is making it easier for almost everyone to deal with some technology but is still hard for lots of people, this quote is not exactly right because I don’t believe that is exactly true “All generations are comfortable with technology, but this is the generation that’s been formed by technology,” says a Yahoo! executive. For them, “it’s not something separate. It’s just something they do.”18 . The more technology they put on gadgets that can fit on people’s hands the easier and more convenient it is for anyone to use it to their advantage that is why there are 71% of consumers that use instant messaging, and I am sure that soon it will be about 95% of users, and that is why I believe that families are smaller for that same reason because they are getting used to being on there own and not talk at all, because it’s easier to just send a text message.

My Voice

I am photographer and even though I am still in school I have being doing this for more than ten year I knew I liked taking photos of everything but I did not know it was going to be something I wanted to do for the rest of my life, the first opportunity I got was when I was in high school, I got the opportunity to intern for a semester  in The Las Vegas Review Journal, I was supper excited about going, but when I first got there I felt an emotion that I could not explain to myself what it was, I learned so much from this and right before my semester ended we went on a photo shoot to a school and I took some of the pictures that day, and I got one of those pictures published with the story I felt so emotional and proud of myself. After that I went thru a ruff face that I did not know what to do in my life it took my almost ten years to realized that there was nothing else that gave me that satisfaction excitement than to have a camera in my hand and seeing what others don’t , that’s why the first thing I did was to call and make an appointment to return to school and educate myself, to make this passion in to a career, and learn how I can do my own business. This is not only my life but its also and most important my passion.

week 2 EOC-Boston Consulting Group

I believe that these days everyone is so busy running around from place to place that no one has the time to spend two to three hours playing games, so they prefer to have a hand held product were they can play with at any time and any where they pleased. And having a phone is cheaper than a consul, or even if it’s something like the I pad that is about the same price they rather have it for the apps they can, most of the apps are free or cost mostly five dollars compared to forty to fifty dollars on any consul gave.  The biggest and most impressive sells have to be the Ipad because its portable and we can play games and do everything else with it. In its first quarter 2011 earnings report today, Apple said it sold an astonishing 7.33 million IPads and 16.24 million IPhones in the quarter. To put those numbers in perspective, it took Apple around five months to sell its first 7 million Ipads. In its previous earnings report in October 2010.”Devindra Hardawar". This is how its proving that not allot of people are buying game consuls compared to Smartphone’s and the Ipad. An other difference is between the IPod and the Psp, which is better, but for this two is harder because theyare both hand held and and u can hear music on the two but what still makes the IPod better is the gave you still pay about thirty dollars for a Psp game, but it depends on the consumer

week 1 EOC-Great Customer Service

The best customer service I have had to have being the time we went shopping to Ultimate Electronics, we were looking for a brand new HD television, but we didn’t what make or anything, or witch would be the best for us. As soon as we entered the door we had an associate asking us if we need it help we told him we were just looking and he said if we needed it anything he would be around and to just ask him, we stared to look around and we were getting lost with so many  makes and brands so we looked for the associate and he was not far from us we stared asking him questions about all the brands and he would answer us everything and he really knew what he was talking about, he helped us out in everything and we really appreciated, we were so happy with the service and the prices that we ended taking two televisions and a surround system. If we wouldn’t of gotten the service we got we would have gone to another store.
